Project Description:

This 55,000 square foot complex project was erected with many structural elements exposed to meet architectural demands.  The complexity of this project was directly related to the tight work area as well as the need to not interrupt the adjacent active court house and jail complex.  Sure Steel worked closely with Layton Construction to ensure that all requirements of the DFCM of Utah and the Utah Administrative Office of Courts were met.

Schedule:

This project incorporated both concrete and structural steel framing to achieve complete building bracing system.  Daily coordination was needed to ensure work could continue on both the concrete shear walls as well as steel erection with out a delay in work by either trade.

None of the day to day operations of the court were disrupted due to any of the steel deliveries or erection processes.  This project was completed on time and on budget.

Quality:

There were no quality issues to report on this project.  All erection was completed in accordance to AISC standards for steel erection.

Safety:

There were zero safety issues on this project.
